The music of the Ziller valley is as many-faceted as the valley itself. All-year round one can enjoy the sounds from Mayrhofen to Fügen. Countless music festivals and concerts attract both tourist and local people. Due to the fact that many well-known music groups have originated from the Ziller valley, it is also called the music valley.

The musical programme that is offered during the many concerts in the Ziller valley covers folk music, pop and rock.  From small club events to open air festivals: in the Ziller valley the music really caters for all tastes. There are more than 200 groups, from duos to big bands, in the Ziller valley. Here music plays an important role in the lives of the people. Each family has at least one family member, who plays music and who can consequently keep one of the major Ziller valley traditions alive.
