It hardly happens that power stations are worth visiting, but it's a different story at FeuerWerk and its sensory world of wood. Guaranteed, you will have a great time during this excursion, since the ultramodern Fügen biomass combined heat and power station has become an exciting location for events, gastronomy, seminars, conferences, concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, visits and education.

Once you will have learned about the philosophy behind the FeuerWerk, you will understand, how much effort and time it took and how successful the developers of this project have become, combining elements that seemingly don't go together. Here technology is combined with recreation, energy production with nature protection and making money with social social responsibility.

Power station and wellness

The FeuerWerk, its Hortus Aeoli, "garden of airs" and its unique architecture invite the visitor to a lovely panoramic view of the Ziller valley after an exciting and informative guided tour of the bio power station. With its extraordinary, culinary dishes, the SichtBAR pampers the visitor, after which he or she might be heading for the adventure spa in order to relax.

Here you will find two unique, modern ecological buildings, facing each other that are interconnected, but could not be more different: the FeuerWerk and the adventure spa "Erlebnistherme Zillertal" in Fügen.  On the one hand the power station that produces green electricity generated from waste wood and on the other hand the adventure spa with its wave pool, flow passage and the longest slide within Austria.
