Bike & Freeride

Bike im Zillertal

Hobby cyclists, bikers and downhill freeriders are spoilt for choice in the Ziller valley when it comes to routes, cycling paths and single trails.

Along the Zillerpromenade one can cycle quite a few kilometres a day on flat course; furthermore, there are lots of opportunities along the way and in the villages for a break in order to have a drink, a bite and a rest.

The mountain railways offer bikers and freeriders marked routes with various degrees in difficulty.  Ascent with the mountain railway and downhill into the valley.

The challenging single trail Mayrhofner Bergbahn "Höllenritt" is very challenging and can only be recommended for trained experts. The steeply-pitched trail, starting at 700 metres is 4 kilometres long and leads through forest and mountain terrain straight into the valley. If needed, the most extreme passages can be avoided.

Detailed weather forecasts for the villages Fügen, Zell am Ziller, Gerlos, Mayrhofen and Tux.
