Tux - Finkenberg

There are not many places in the world that offer a wide, open view to the Großglockner, Zugspitze and Dolomites at the same time. At 3250 m you will find the panorama terrace at the Hintertux glacier that offer this unique view of the Alps.

Here is where Mother Nature was busy constructing - and kept her masterpiece hidden from us for a long time. It was in the year 2007 and by pure coincidence when Roman Erler discovered the glacial crevasse, now called nature's ice palace (Natur Eis Palast).

The fact that hardly any fairytale or saga lacks a mill, can lead to the conclusion that mills used to play a major role in people's live in past times. Being able to grind corn into flour: it meant that people had something to eat. No mill - no flour, no flour - no bread.

Not only people can tell stories, houses can as well. The Mehlerhaus in Madseit dates back to the 17th century and has so much to tell, that maybe one visit is not enough. Shortly before the end of the 2nd millennium it was still occupied, nowadays it accommodates an exceptional farming museum. Additionally, exhibitions and numerous....

Nestled between mountains and glaciers is the alpine storage reservoir Kaprun. A great scenery, perfect for beautiful hiking and climbing tours.

They say it was the devil himself, who built this bridge over the Tux river. The question, whether it was him or simply a masterly example of how Tyrolean wooden bridges are built, will not entirely be answered. But one thing is certain: it is certainly worthwile visiting the bridge, dating back to 1876 and being located at the Dornauer Hof.

The Spannagel cave is located at the Hintertux glacier that measures an until now registered length of over 10 km and is the largest cave within the central Alps. The tour of the cave stretches over 500 metres and is a unique event for both adults and children.
