Action & Fun Zillertal Arena

Adrenaline on adventure mountain Zillertal Arena

The steep Tyrolean mountain ridges in the Zillertal Arena are also being exploited in summer: Arena Coaster and Arena Skyliner make use of their downhill gradient for speed and thrills.

The Arena Coaster is the first alpine roller coaster in the middle of the Ziller valley Alps, right on the mountain. Over 1.450 metres run down the valley with 360 and 540°loops, up to nine metres in the air.

With the Arena Skyliner one nearly flies down the mountain. With the aid of steel ropes and castors one hangs on four different lines and hurtles down direction valley over treetops and pastures at 50 kilometres per hour.

Climbing and scrambling

What would a summer holiday in the Ziller valley Alps be without sniffing some fresh air, high up in the mountains? Exactly!  Hence our motto: the only way is up! You will already lift off in Gerlos - the high rope course is a favourite leisure attraction with 25 station and challenging courses. Real impressions of the Alps and real challenges are offerd by the alpine via ferrata on the Gerlossteinwand. Those, who have reached the top after 240 metres of difference in altitude, can be proud of themselves and enjoy the wide scenic view of the mountains.

Hiking and relaxing

Needless to say: during holidays in the Alps one would like to go out and explore, being as close to nature as possible.  The most beautiful opportunity to do is by using the 400km long network of hiking trails. A good alternative are the 232 kilometres of mountain bike tracks, covering all degrees of difficulties. And those, who wish to take it slightly easier, will find ample of opportunities in the Ziller valley to find a nice, quiet spot to relax.
