Adventure mountain Hintertux glacier

The Hintertux glacier offers unique hiking opportunities. Would you prefer an easy route or a real challenge? During summer there are many alternatives, from easy tours to hiking up the 3.476 metre high summit of the Olperer.  Being on the road one can experience the natural mountain scenery in the Ziller valley up close - passing soughing waterfalls, green, rich pastures and deep forests and alpine animal species. 

Adventure in the Spannagel cave

Not only the peaks of the Ziller valley are special attractions, but also that was is underneath them. The Spannagel cave is the largest rock cave in the Alps, offering unique impressions. Between marble and dripstones is the entrance to the very centre of the cave, where there are guided tours and a museum that inform about the cave's origin and its unique features. When cave trekking it is possible to descend even further into the 10 km long cave. 

The best view is from above

The finest view of the Ziller valley mountain scenery and impression up to the Großglockner and the Dolomites can be enjoyed at the panoramic terrace on the Hintertux glacier at 3250 m.
